Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Education offered a certificate program in Children's Book Illustration for over 10 years. This certificate program has been phased out. Other certificate programs are still available.

Children's Book Illustration I is still offered through RISD CE as a 6 week, for-credit class through Summer Studies.

Other classes related to Children's Book Illustration will continue to be offered through RISD CE, such as Writing for Children's Books, The Book Dummy, Children's Book Illustration I, Character Design, World-Building, and more.

I couldn't be prouder of the many students that went through this program. Congratulations to each one of you!

Q. Where do I get more information?

A. RISD CE no longer offers a certificate in Children's Book Illustration.

However, they do offer some related classes, and lots of other great stuff. Go to the RISD CE website for information about classes, certificate programs, course listings, tuition and fees.
Or contact the RISD CE office @ 401-454-6200.
